*Our current printing process is industry standard but that doesn't mean we aren't trying to change this. As our factories grow and develop new sustainable techniques this will change but as the famous quote goes 'Rome was not built in day'.

    Fabrics

Saving precious water. Organic cotton is better for water than conventionally produced cotton. Organic farming creates healthy soils, which act like a sponge, soaking up water during floods and holding it for longer in times of drought.

    Printing Inks

A large part of our current printing process is eco-friendly. Green printing inks are newer inks that are more environmentally friendly. They do not cause the same damage and pollution to the earth and the atmosphere. In the past inks used for printing were mainly petroleum based, and these substances were often very high in toxic metals and other harmful substances. As our factories grow and develop new sustainable techniques we will strive to become fully green with our printing techniques.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a source of raw materials,” says the website of outdoor brand Patagonia, best known for making fleece from used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste and worn-out garments

Compared with virgin paper, producing recycled paper involves between 28% and 70% less energy consumption. Also, less water is used. This is because most of the energy used in papermaking is the pulping needed to turn wood into paper. Recycled paper produces fewer polluting emissions to air and water.

Compostable plastics can be composted at industrial scale composting facilities, so you can put these in with your green waste but only if it goes to one of these facilities - your council will be able to tell you where your green waste goes.
